Richard Augustin is a contemporary European painter and designer. Born in the Czech Republic in 1975, he also took his root in Spanish Mallorca and India's Goa, where he runs his art studios repeatedly.

Augustin originally worked as a photographer, filmmaker and graphic designer. His fascination with diversity of humanity and the beauties of the world has gradually been transformed into a work of art, which reflects his own original vision of the world. Augustin captures ordinary life through the eyes of a man who is always looking for colors among the gray and discovers the better human side. Perhaps that is why his works are popular with various people and find a response in completely different world cultures.

The main Augustin collection consists of figural paintings LIFE. Although inspiration from Cubism or modern graphic design can be found here, it is a typical handwriting of the author. Flat area colors, the use of elementary geometric shapes and the abbreviation of form are always present in Augustin's paintings. Together with a comprehensive composition of figural themes and a cheerful expressive mood, these are clearly recognizable works, always confirmed on the face by the author's original signature.

Augustin's POP collection acknowledges inspiration from the work of Andy Warhol, with which the author has common roots and art approach. Augustin chooses new and at the same time strong themes, which seem to follow up on Warhol's work and further develops it with popular motifs of familiar faces, matches, postage stamps, animals or banknotes. The author knows exactly what themes and personalities resonate on a global scale. At the same time, he remains purely original, each of its POP artwork follows a personal experience with people, countries or the environment.

Augustin's philosophy of art partially misses the time in which he lives. He focuses on promoting his paintings and their stories and, as an author, maintains as much privacy as possible. It can be said that his ideal is the success of his work, not his personality. Together with the traditional concept of painting, it is an essentially modern and at the same time renaissance author, whose work is gradually gaining ground on a global scale.
